Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment in Improving Employee Performance

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on improving employee performance through organizational commitment at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Parepare City. Amid the challenges of digital-based public services, the role of leaders who can foster innovation and employee loyalty becomes increasingly crucial. A qualitative approach was employed through semi-structured interviews with 12 employees from various service divisions within Disdukcapil Parepare. The data were analyzed thematically using open coding and axial coding techniques with the assistance of NVivo software. Transformational leadership was proven to enhance affective commitment and employee loyalty, which in turn had a positive impact on the quality of civil administration services. Transformational leadership plays a key role in shaping a participatory work culture and improving employee performance through the strengthening of organizational commitment.Downloads
