SUPERVISION OF RAW MATERIALS QUALITY TO SUPPORT THE PRODUCTION INTEGRATION OF PT. SETIA KAWAN MAKMUR SEJAHTERA TULUNGAGUNG

Supervision of the quality of raw materials is needed so that the production of
an item can run as specified. PT. Setia Kawan Makmur Sejahtera is a company that
manufactures HVS paper. Before raw materials enter the production process, quality
control of raw materials is carried out so that the population process does not experience
many obstacles. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the supervision of the
quality of raw materials can support smooth production. The variables in this study
include the independent variable. In this case, the independent variable is Quality
Control of Raw Materials. At the same time, the dependent variable is Smooth
Production. To test the independent and dependent variables, the writer uses analysis by
testing the production process system that has been applied so far and other analysis
tools, namely EOQ and TIC. EOQ is the number of orders that can minimize the total
cost of inventory and optimal purchasing. While the TIC is to find out how much the
total inventory consists of the cost of purchasing raw materials, storage costs, and
ordering costs. The results of research conducted from 2019-2021 showed the company
has appropriately implemented a quality control system for raw materials by controlling
the quality of raw materials to be produced so that production can run smoothly. This
can be seen in production results, which continually increase from 2019 to 2021. The
analysis results for 3 (three) years using EOQ obtained the results of what should be
optimal raw purchases in one message with a frequency of heating that is relatively
stable and production that runs smoothly. In calculating the Total Inventory Cost of
Raw Materials (TIC) according to EOQ and calculated by the company, it is obtained
that the calculation according to EOQ, inventory costs incurred will be lower than the
calculation of total inventory costs by the company
