Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Mail Processing Centre, Line Haul Transportation, and Distribution on Last Mile Delivery at PT Pos Indonesia Jakarta Oceania Main Branch Office. The study employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative methods, with data collected from 121 employees and analyzed using Partial Least Squares--Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that Mail Processing Centre has a positive and significant effect on Distribution (β = 0.363) and Last Mile Delivery (β = 0.214). Line Haul Transportation also has a positive and significant effect on Distribution (β = 0.444) as well as on Last Mile Delivery (β = 0.163). Distribution was found to be the most dominant variable influencing Last Mile Delivery (β = 0.571). In addition, Distribution was proven to mediate the effect of Mail Processing Centre and Line Haul Transportation on Last Mile Delivery, with indirect effects of 0.207 and 0.254, respectively. These findings highlight the importance of multi-echelon logistics system integration in improving final delivery performance. Practically, the results provide recommendations for the Executive General Manager Jakarta Oceania to prioritize the optimization of the Mail Processing Centre, line haul transportation, and Distribution in order to improve operational performance achievement and logistics revenue toward the minimum annual target of 95%.
